Museo Casa Manno

The Museum Casa Manno, situated in the oldest historic centre nucleus, in the neighbourhood Pou Salit (salted well) and Santa Maria cathedral, is an historical narrative of the Sardinian people reminisced through the life of Giuseppe Manno, the great historian of Alghero.

The itinerary exposition winds its way between 11 rooms offering, with interactive multimedia support too, an age slice rich of transformation, central for the Italian history on its formation process to be a nation. The museum also has a room for children entertainment and for didactic museum.

An important holding composed by furnitures, paintings, sculptures, old presses and books, correspondences hand written and original documentation regarding the great intellectual, Manno, tell us a story of Sardinian population between the end of eighteenth and the nineteenth century.
